Thank You Board
Thank you to everyone who had a part in the fundraiser, Dancing for Dylan! Stacey and all our family members who attended had a great time! The proceeds have helped us catch up on unpaid medical bills as well as get our wheelchair van, the Golden Wing, repaired and back to respectable shape! Thank you, all!

In 2022, we met another family who is going through what we are with Dylan. We'd rather not have met in this way. I'd rather our families had met in the park while both our children were playing and completely healthy. Unfortunately, that's not the case.
To our new family friends, thank you for your friendship and all your support. Thank you for sharing all the insight and knowledge you've gained in your child's journey battling the illness and symptoms similar to what we're going through with Dylan. Stacey has been so blessed to gain such a caring friend who checks in regularly and helps wherever possible. I can't wait for the day when are two families are well enough to spend time getting to know each other in a more pleasant way!

Dear John, Dani and Sully,
Your contribution was more than anyone could expect. I'd say more than we deserved. Your support helps our family to get by. Getting by, through a tough time in your life, is a hard thing to do. We are still very blessed in many ways, however, I would never want to see another family and their child(ren), go through what we are and have gone through. Your help, along with the help of so many others, is likely the only reason why we're still standing.
May God bless you and your family!
8/28/23
Thank you to all the many layers of the Saints Peter and Paul community. Thank you to the Women's Guild and Ms. Malone. Thank you for all the various tag day fund raisers that both the elementary/ middle school and high school organized last school year, 2022/ 2023. Thank you to all the SSPP staff members and parents of students that contributed to our family through meal gift cards and so much more!
8/28/23
To Jamie and Tony Del Puppo, your efforts and interest in our family from day one of Dylan becoming very sick, never goes unnoticed. It goes without saying, you have gone above and beyond. Your family has contributed in so many ways and you mean so much to our family!
Tony, sorry it cost you your hair!
8/28/23
Thank you, Ed Wall for your donation. I'm not sure if we've ever met or how you heard of our story, which makes it even more thoughtful, you contributing to our family!
8/28/23
To Dobbie, Ginny, Lisa, Amy and all those helping them put on the event for our family at SSPP. Thank you to SSPP for allowing the event to take place. All involved in hosting this event truly have nothing to gain from all their efforts - except the first rights to a fun evening, celebrating the coming together of a wonderful community!
8/28/23
To the Sweeney family, you folks really kick butt! All the times you check in and all the thoughtfulness offered to Stacey and our family shows just how invested you are when you're involved. You make those around you feel cared about! We're lucky to have you in our life!
8/28/23
Dr. Cook, thank you for all the years being the best pediatrician for our son, Dylan. You first met Dylan when he was only two weeks old. Dylan had years where he was constantly sick in the winter months. I personally saw you or one of your team members on a bi-weekly basis for a few years until Dylan's immune system grew more resilient as he aged.
It stinks that the last few of times we saw you, Dylan wasn't the healthy young boy you were used to seeing. It goes without saying, Dylan really didn't do well getting sick with covid. I hope someday (real soon) you'll have the pleasure of seeing Dylan in much better shape. Til then, nothing but the best for you and your family!
8/20/23
Nancy, you invested yourself personally in our case with UHC. You went above and beyond in your efforts to represent Dylan as a covered member of UHC insurance company. Like I told you when we spoke last; no matter the outcome of our case being review with UHC, no matter the results, you were wonderful to work with. You were attentive and trustworthy every step of the way. No matter the insurance coverage outcome, I knew and know that it would have had nothing to do with our representation and only could be the result of something out of our control.
Our family is blessed to have come across you as a result of my many phone call efforts, spanning over five months, seeking help and explanation. Once my request to have you assigned as our common advisor (after the luck of you answering during one of my phone calls), the rest was as it should be for all health care members; responsive, sincere and easy. Nancy, you take a thankless job and do it just as good as anyone ever could. For that, you will always be apart of Dylan's story!
8/01/23
Dr. Rodrigo, I can't begin to express my gratitude for all your and your associates efforts in helping us resolve our insurance coverage issues regarding Dylan's feeding formula. Most would not have invested their time catering to all the insurance company's request.
8/01/23
Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Lane Windsor for your holiday gift and thoughtfulness towards Dylan this holiday. You helped making his holiday more enjoyable. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
12/20/22
Big thanks to John B. You're the only one who's shown support and interest in my family from my professional world. I have a lot of respect for you.
10/22/22
Thank you, Mom & Kaitlyn for taking care of the house and animals, allowing me to help support Stacey and Dylan while at Mt. Washington hospital and Johns Hopkins this past summer and autumn. There's wasn't a lot I was able to offer them, rather sometimes it's about being in the battle along-side the ones whom are fighting. It brings them comfort knowing they're not in it alone.
P.S. Lady misses her gal-pals!
10/22/22
Thank you Robin, you're an artist! Thank you for the card for Dylan and the wonderful letter to Stacey and I. We received it while still at Johns Hopkins in September. You offered comfort and encouragement when both were needed the most! Items such as these will be remembered and kept forever. Thank you!
10/22/22
Thank you, Karen M., for the wonderful meal! The presentation and instructions are well done and very much appreciated! We acknowledge and respect all the hard work involved in preparing such a meal. Thank you!
10/18/22
Pat E., your oatmeal chocolate chip and cranberry cookies never stood a chance! They were great while they lasted!
10/18/22
Thank you to Jonna from Portals comic book store. Your donation to Dylan's comic book collection was an unexpected surprise. Your kindness reminds us again why we've always enjoyed visiting you at you store!
10/18/22
Thank you, Ellen H., for the card to our family. Stacey and Dylan love getting mail from folks they aren't currently able to see right now. It makes them feel a connection with people that once were apart of their daily lives...folks they will soon see again!
10/17/22
Thank you, Penny for visiting us last week. The biggest thank you to you and your church members for making Dylan a prayer shawl. It stays with Dylan and his doggie, Itty Bitty, always. Penny, thank you for sharing fall decor items with Stacey. As you can imagine, Stacey doesn't get out much and with a tight budget, decor isn't the highest priority right now. However, decorating and keeping a festive home is something that brings so much joy to Stacey. I'm sorry she's had to sacrifice the time and money to do what brings her peace. Thank you again Penny for helping Stacey remember to breathe!
10/17/22
Thank you, to all that have shared home-cooked meals with us this past summer. Sorry to all of you who've lost tupperware containers in the deal! We have enjoyed everything offered to us. No meal ever went to waste. We are forever grateful!
10/17/22
Thank you, Lois Diemert, Jaca DeSpain, Marie McNurlan, Rosanna Hazard, and Andrea Geiman for your donation!
10/16/22
Thank you Penny for our cards. I took them to the hospital over the weekend where Stacey and I were able to enjoy ours and Dylan was able to enjoy his as well. Gestures like these help our family feel like we still have a connection with the outside world. Thank you for that!
10/6/22
To Irina and family, thank you again for all the time and effort put into making us feel special. Although we're no more special than anyone else, friends like you make us feel like, maybe so! Thank you for all your hard work in providing us with a grand meal. The extra effort put into writing down the ingredients does not go unnoticed! Irina, you are special too!
P.S. the roses you gave were a beautiful addition!
10/6/22
It's hard to imagine all the folks who have shown up to our family's rescue. We aren't short on love, that's for sure! Another example was SSPP's tag-day fundraiser; thank you to all the parents and students who showed their support towards Dylan!
10/5/22
Sherrie, thank you for checking in with Stacey, providing support and comfort. Thank you for all your understanding while Stacey fights to get Dylan's life back. We have enjoyed very much the Pet Prayer book you gave. It's apart of Stacey and Dylan's routine of the evenings. Thanks for providing a moment of lightheartedness for them both!
10/5/22
